She has a long and distinguished track record in American sports. She is one of only six female athletes who has won in each of the five Alpine Skiing World Cup events. She has won 82 World Cups. World-class athlete and one of America's most successful ski racers have decided to retire after the World Championships, which take place in Sweden. The four-time World Cup overall champion decided to retire after suffering several ailments. Her announcement of retirement was made on social media.
