Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer also a model, actor and author. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Growing up in an artistic family living in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. She started as a photographic assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story was an international hit, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years she had been voted as the number one female box-office starter in the world. Her footprints from 1972 and autograph were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw got married to three different people.
