Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has been awarded Emmy award. She hosts the most popular Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It is scheduled to air for another 27 years. Ina started her career at the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and the budget. Although she initially found it interesting, she soon became bored. She then bought an Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food retailer. After 18 years of making her shop a massive success she sold it and began writing her first book. A number of magazines and cookbooks followed. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became an instant hit. Also, Ina sells products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and other equipment. Ina has never attended an institution for cooking or did she work at a restaurant. Her education is completely self-taught. She is a simple cook and for her entertaining manner. She is known for her easy recipes like Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese using Beef Bourguignon as well as Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
