Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, performer and actress well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it famous in the national stage space with Li'l Abner' in the year 1957. In 1957, she also made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. When she was in New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her relationship with Lee Strasberg. The actress joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career successfully with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood portraying somber characters as contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she's also earned her name as a successful director in various well-known television shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto around the age of three. She spent her childhood there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision to play the lead.
