Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and gained straight As in her A-levels. In a discussion about her appearance on Emmerdale Coleman acknowledged regrets not going to University. When she was at school, Coleman was a member of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The award was presented to her for her performance while the play was also highly praised. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. It happened in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. The award was for The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was awarded an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others quit the show. Moffat chose her for the role as she performed the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the field since 1987. She has appeared in various TV shows and films. But, she's more recognized for her TV shows as opposed to films. Out of all the roles Eva has played on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which make an impression. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is not just an actress, she is as well a philanthropist and businesswoman. Eva has had three marriages and is the mother of a child from her first husband.
